NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE EAST

Bow Reserves 1 Kinmel Bay Development 3
With Bow Reserves having not played since November 26 and Bay without a game going back to November 12, both teams were keen to be back on the pitch!
It was Kinmel Bay Development who emerged with the victory to move four points clear at the summit.
Bay went 2-0 up inside the first 14 minutes. The first goal came when captain Wez Hancocks effort from the edge of the box found the bottom left corner.
Soon after, a cross into the box found Mark Hughes, whose strike was blocked by the Bow defence but the rebound was tapped in by the lively Connor Craig.
Bow made a change on 25 minutes to try and get themselves back into the game. Bay keeper Darrell Gunther made some fine stops to keep it at 2-0 come the interval.
The second half saw Bow come out fighting from the whistle, The pace of Declan Bellamy and substitute Ethan Evans, both former Bay players, started to cause problems for the visitors’ defence, winning some free kicks in shooting range which Gunther dealt with well.
Both teams had chances leading up to the next goal which came in the 93rd minute. Ethan Evans’ free kick finding the head of substitute Jonny Mee to make it 2-1 and a nervy last few minutes for Bay was on the cards,
But Bay settled them nerves when fellow substitute Owain Roberts beat the Bow back-line for pace just three minutes later and made no mistake in dispatching the ball into the back of the net to seal the game with the final kick.

Trearddur Bay Development 5 Llanrug United Reserves 2
Llanrug’s excellent 12-month unbeaten record came to an end as Trearddur Bay leapfrogged them into top spot with a 5-2 victory at Lon Isallt.
Not surprisingly, star of the show for Trearddur was the prolific Asa Thomas with four goals.
Having served a one-game suspension for the first team the day before, Thomas turned out for the Development on Sunday and delivered a quadruple to boost his goals total to 30 for the campaign.
Having lost 5-0 at Llanrug back in October, Bay were out for revenge against efficiently-organised and well-drilled opponents.
Trearddur dominated the first 30 minutes and took the lead after 25 through Noel Owen.
However, Llanrug turned the tables before half time, Sam Griffiths and Gwion Williams giving them a 2-1 interval lead.
The half time team talk in the home camp was to focus on us lifting heads and knowing confidence could be taken for being on top for the majority of the first 45.
And Bay took control after the turnaround, Steve Driedyk, Noel Owen and Lennon Owen all getting on the assist chart as Thomas bagged his four-timer.
Bontnewydd Development 7 Gaerwen Development 5

Osian McGuinness (3), Elis Thomas, Cameron Owen, Elis Davies and Dion Davies shared the home goals,
