Here’s a round up of the rest of the weekend football from various leagues.

We’ll call this the Bits n’ Pieces section…..

Nothing to separate these sides at Maes Tegid on Monday evening.

It was a good result for a Llangollen team missing several regulars.

JD CYMRU NORTH

Chirk goalkeeper Oliver Farebrother’s man of the match performance earned him a place in the JD Cymru Leagues Team of the Week.

After heavy rain had put the game in doubt on Saturday, the calmer weather overnight and early morning sunshine ensured the Cymru North Wrexham derby went ahead.

Richard Wright had passed the pitch playable at 9 am and it was the correct decision with the Holyhead Road ground holding up for an entertaining but goalless draw.

Farebrother was again in great form and his performance rightly earned him the man of the match award from Chirk AAA supporters

Chirk, however, did have their moments with Josh Evans, Max Mclaughlin and Tom Freeman all going close in the second half.

Even though Gresford had the majority of possession, the draw was probably a fair result which means all three games in Cymru North between the two sides have ended level.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped clear the bonfire debris from the pitch prior to the game.

Chirk travel to Llandudno on Friday night with a 8 pm kick off.

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT WEST

Bontnewydd Development 3 CPD Pentraeth Development 3

Kian Zoller’s hat-trick for visitors Pentraeth included a 92nd minute equaliser.

Bontnewydd scored twice in a minute near the midway point of the first half through Dion Davies and Cameron Owen, but a Zoller penalty in added time made it 2-1 at the break.

Zoller levelled it on 47, but sub Meurig Parry looked to have won the game when he edged Bont 3-2 up after 76.

However, visiting hero Zoller, aged just 16, had the last word as he netted from a Charlie Dales assist.

CPD Nefyn United – tim datblygu 3 Llanrug United Reserves 4

Second-place Llanrug put clear daylight between themselves and Nefyn in the table after a thrilling 4-3 win at Cae’r Delyn.

Goals from Sam Griffiths, Gwion Williams, Ywain Jones and sub Jake Calley-Thomas made the scoresheet to book an away victory, Jacob Walker, Tristan Harrison and Elgan Jones replying for the Penwaig.

Trearddur Bay Development 3 CPD Llanberis Development 3

Three was a very popular score in the Development League West on Sunday with five of the six teams in action netting that number of goals.

Bay trailed 3-1 entering the 90th minute, but late, late net-finders from Michael Jones and Jacob Davies (penalty) rescued the hosts a point.

Goals from Jac Davies, Sion Foulkes and an 89th minute strike from Owain Roberts made it 3-1 to the visitors, but Trearddur refused to give up. Bay had earlier scored through Tom Scott to make it 1-1.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH CUP

Nantlle Vale Reserves 2 St Asaph Reserves 1

Llion Griffiths and ex-Bangor City prospect Phil Warrington supplied the goals which put Nantlle through to the next round.

Archie Jones’ strike handed Saints a 12th minute lead, but Griffiths hit back on 18 and Warrington’s effort in first half stoppage time ended up the winner.

The New Saints Reserves 3 CPD Rhos Aelwyd Reserves 1

Veteran Greg Draper put Saints on their way to victory with a 15th minute opener at Park Hall.

Carwyn Davies levelled from the spot on 26, but substitutes Ben Richards and Hadif Hizamshol struck in the second half to secure safe passage for the hosts.

NORTH EAST WALES VETERANS LEAGUE

Premier Division

Connah’s Quay Nomads Vets 2 Mynydd Isa Vets 5

Good away win for Mynydd Isa with ex-Bala Town and Buckley Town ace Wes Brereton scoring twice.

Mark Weir, Ben Morgan and Michael Ryan added further goals for the visitors, Leon Bowen and Carl Endemano on the mark for Nomads.
