Young North Wales netball stars gain international spurs

Efa Dwyfor-Clark (left) and Hanna Jones have earned Wales Netball Under-15 National Academy selection

Three young netball stars from North Wales have secured international recognition.

Efa Dwyfor-Clark and Hanna Jones are in the Wales Under-15 National Academy squad, while Beca Parry has been picked for the Under-19’s.

Defender Efa and shooter Hanna are members of Clwb Pel-Rwyd Brynrefail, while Beca is with Arfon Ladies.

All three girls are in their respective age group squads for North West Wales schools (Efa and Hanna U-14 and Beca U-18).

The trio are included in the Under-17 Regional Academy squads too.

Efa and Hanna are a part of Rebals Refail Arfon, currently top of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball Winter League Division Two. Both are from Bangor and attend Tryfan School.

Beca Parry

Beca was formerly in the Brynrefail set-up.

Clwb Pel-Rwyd Brynrefail coach Llinos Wyn Dobbins said: “I’m super proud of these girls. All fantastic, super talented and work extremely hard on and off the court.

“These selections are absolutely brilliant for the area. It’s a testament to the opportunities these girls have on a weekly basis to develop their game.”
