A third-minute goal was enough to send Llay’s reserve side through to the next round on Sunday.

Warren Peagram was the home goal-scorer, assisted by Gareth Guest

Luke Bonner was named man of the match for the home team.

Hawarden Rangers Reserves 2 Holywell Town Development 0

Ryan Pearce put Hawarden ahead on 20 minutes and when Matthew Birks made it 2-0 after 80, the tie was in the bag.

Birks was dismissed for a second yellow two minutes from time.

Nantlle Vale Reserves 2 Mold Alex Reserves 0

Llion Griffiths scored after 49 and 56 minutes to ensure Nantlle progressed to the next stage at the expense of Mold

Porthmadog Reserves 2 The New Saints Reserves 3

Leighton Brewer’s winner for TNS four minutes into added time broke Porthmadog hearts.

The home side had come back from two-down to be level in the tie, Gwion Dafydd netting on 21 and 24 minutes for the visitors before Elis Puw replied on 41 and Aaron Wyn Jones made it all-square after 83.

Rhos Aelwyd Reserves 1 Cefn Albion Reserves 1 (Rhos won 2-0 on pens)

Goalkeeper Danny Roberts emerged a true hero for Rhos as he saved four penalties in an end-of-tie shoot-out.

The game itself ended 1-1, Aaron Holman giving Albion a 39th minute lead before Tom Smith dramatically equalised with 92 on the clock.

Aelwyd won the penalties contest 2-0.

Great result for Pwllheli with Iwan Roberts-Jones delivering the 78th minute winner.

Robin Thomas got the visitors off to a flyer with goals on 12 and 14 minutes, the first a penalty.

It was 2-0 at half time, but Conwy rallied well in the second period, Bradley Williams and Ernest Obi making it all-square before the hour.

Iwan Roberts-Jones edged Pwll back in front on 62, Ryan Boddis made it three-apiece after 76, but soon after came the decider from IRJ.
