North Wales Coast East Premier – 53 goals in just six matches! Meliden hit top spot

North Wales Coast East Premier Division – reports, September 23
What a day for goals in the North Wales Coast East Premier today – 53 scored in just six matches, an average of almost 9 per game!
There was no in between today, your team would either be ecstatic or crestfallen, such were the extremes in most winning margins.
CPD Bro Cernyw 0 Kinmel Bay 6

After six straight defeats, Kinmel Bay returned to form with a stunning 6-0 win at Cae Ysgol.
Oliver Gray set the ball rolling for the visitors with a seventh-minute goal, Anthony Jones providing the assist.
Leon Bower laid on the second after 20 minutes, last season’s leading scorer Connor Morris hitting the target.
Defender Liam Jones was on the mark with number three, Anthony Jones again playing a part.
And after such a productive first half, it seemed fitting that Anthony Jones himself made it 4-0 before the interval.
Cernyw have shown plenty of improvement this season, but they had no answer to the Kinmel Bay machine today.
With the team now slowly returning to full strength following a difficult spell, Kinmel went five-up through Bower on 57 minutes and Morris added the sixth after 72,
A third win in seven league games for Bay, who are up to seventh in the Premier.
CPD Cerrigydrudion 8 Abergele 0
Cerrig maintained their 100 percent league record in some style with an 8-0 demolition of an Abergele outfit struggling to adapt to life in the Premier.
It’s not unusual for Tom Jones to score goals – but four inside 20 minutes?
That is what the striker – actual name Tomos Watkin Jones but one cannot get in the way of a quick quip – a different player to well-known Cerrig star Tomos Tryfan Jones – did today, netting on 34, 40, 47 and 54 minutes to put the home team four-up.
After that Watkin Jones feat others joined the scoring spree, Delwyn Jones adding a couple before Rhys Davies and substitute Jac Edwards nabbed one apiece.
Three wins from three for sixth-place Cerrig, who will soon be much higher if they maintain form like this.
Llandyrnog United 3 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 8
Ruthless Penmaenmawr are up to third after a gr-eight performance at Cae Nant.
One of the best performers in tier 4, Lee Stokes, bagged a hat-trick for the visitors with goals on 12, 29 and 73 minutes.
The in-form Mezz Knight added a double for Phoenix, making it four goals in his last five outings, Lewis Roberts, Mike Williams and Ricky Jones also netting for the visitors.
Danny McLean (2) and Adam Harvey-Davies responded for Dyrny.
Llanfairfechan Town 3 CPD Llansannan 4

Visitors Llansannan recovered from 3-1 down to win a seven-goal thriller at the Recreation Ground.
Captain Gwion Bibby nudged ‘Sannan in front on 14 minutes, but Llanfair hit back to lead 3-1 at half time courtesy of an Osian Roberts pair and Elliot Croston single.
It remained the same score until midway through the second period Cian Evans cut the deficit.
Luke Appleby made it three-apiece on 73 and Dafydd Ifan Jones notched an 88th minute winner.
Meliden 6 Llandudno Junction 4
A sixth straight win in all competitions ensured Meliden hit top spot in the Premier Division.
The Miners dug out a smashing 6-4 victory over the always hard to beat Junction.
Lucas Edwards, Tom Wickerson and Frankie Davies scored two goals apiece – in single file – with the latter’s 90th minute strike finally sealing it for Meliden.
Goals from Dan Roberts (2), Mathew Jones (penalty) and Rob Gore kept the Railwaymen in the contest right till the end.
Mochdre Sports 9 Rhuddlan Town 2

Magnificent Mochdre will have been on cloud nine after this display.
A fantastic performance saw Sports play some wonderful attacking football which the visiting side just could not cope with.
Nine goals could realistically have been 15 if not for some wayward finishing and fine saves from the Rhuddlan keeper Andrew Symonds.
Anuar Seilhanov (2), Joshua Grimshaw (2), captain Kai Davies, Scott Roberts. Ste Falvey and substitutes Owen Woodfield and Chris Smyth, back from a two-month injury absence, shared the home tally.
Andy Booker (pen) and Isaac Hall replied for the visitors.
