Connor Morris (Kinmel Bay)
32 league goals, 37 in all competitions
Top-scorer in the tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division with 32 goals in just 24 games for a resurgent Kinmel Bay.
This 25-year-old notched 37 goals in all competitions.
Connor joined Kinmel Bay at the start of 2022-23, having previously been a proven goal-getter with Llysfaen, where he netted 38 times the season before.
He scored in nine successive games towards the end of a season where Kinmel Bay hit a very rich vein of form, also bagging three hat-tricks in all, including a six and a four.
Harrison John Bellis (CPD Y Glannau)
44 league goals, 62 in all competitions
Along with Asa Thomas, this young star was the only player in North Wales to average more than two goals per game in the 2022-23 season.
His 44 league goals ensured he finished as a clear golden boot champion in North Wales Coast East Division One.
Harrison banged in nine hat-tricks, including a 7, 6 and a 5 and helped Y Glannau reach their first major final – the REM Jones Cup.
Ricky Rhys Jones (Penmaenmawr Phoenix)
What a tremendous choice for Player of the Season.
Joined Penmaenmawr Phoenix last September from Llandudno Albion and what an impact he made!
The 33-year-old former North Wales Coast FA Regions Cup midfielder scored 20 goals in 26 games for Pen in all competitions, and 19 in 21 league outings.
Ricky was fourth highest goalscorer in the tier 4 North Wales Coast East League Premier Division, where Phoenix ended up an excellent fourth.
After beginning the 2022-23 campaign as joint-manager of Albion, Ricky made Pen his latest club. He has previously played for Llandudno Junction and Conwy.
Lewis Marc Sealey (Rhos United)
Top 20-year-old talent scored 19 goals in 23 league and cup appearances for Rhos in 2022-23.
Tremendous on the ball and has an uncanny instinct of being in the right place at the right time when his team is on the attack.
Has remained loyal to Rhos when higher-placed clubs have shown an interest and can hopefully inspire United to be in contention for trophies in 2023-24.
Dave Roberts (Penmaenmawr Phoenix)
This was Dave’s first year as Phoenix club secretary and what a way to mark it!
He has done a fantastic job in the role, a tremendous ambassador for the club. When I visited Penmaenmawr last season, he came over to introduce himself and was an absolute gent.
Robert Cunnah (Rhyl All Stars)
The club is named Rhyl All Stars and Robert is the biggest star of all.
He announced earlier in the season he would be stepping down as manager and the search began for a successor.
As the weeks and months passed, the right person could not be found but Rob worked hard as ever at the helm.
A superb coach, he is a magnificent ambassador for both his club and local football in general.
No matter what the result, he always puts together match details for the media and is a true gentleman.
Matty Roberts (St Asaph City)
What an amazing season – possibly the most emphatic treble ever won in North Wales football was achieved by St Asaph with Matty Roberts at the forefront.
The Saints won……
The tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division title by 17 POINTS
The Cookson Cup Final by a 5-0 margin in the final
The NWCFA Intermediate Cup by a 4-0 scoreline in the final
Nick Holland, Luke Binns, James Hay (Abergele)
A brilliant campaign for the Abergele trio saw them win the Division One title, NWCFA Junior Cup 4-0 in the final and the REM Jones Cup 5-3 in the final.
Nick, Luke and Jimbo also made it back-to-back Division One titles and they now look forward to taking on the Premier in 2023-24.
Tony Samuel
A popular choice – Tony is one of the best around in a league which produced a very good standard of refereeing.
He is actually a Tier 3 standard ref and was formerly a liner in the Cymru Alliance League.
Tony has been a man in the middle for eight years and this is the second time he has won NWCFA Referee of the Season.
Rhyl All Stars
No surprise to see this with Robert Cunnah in charge.
Despite nurturing so many good players, only often to lose them to other clubs, Robert never stops trying to build a strong side.
All Stars’ best days on the field may be yet to come, but when it comes to having the attitude and spirit right off the park, the manager and club are number one.
