New names galore rise to tier 3 for the 2023-24 campaign

CPD Llannefydd are heading for tier 3

New names galore will enter the tier 3 Ardal Northern national leagues in 2023-24, it has been confirmed.

Rising to the Ardal North West will be Bethesda Athletic, CPD Llannefydd, CPD Pwllheli and St Asaph City, while dropping into the same league are Holyhead Hotspur and Conwy Borough.

Leaving the ANW will be promoted Denbigh Town and Bangor 1876, while Rhostyllen are relegated and Llandudno Albion have folded.

The league will rise in membership from 14 in 2022-23 to 16 this season ahead.

Meanwhile, the Ardal North East will have an even 16 teams in 2023-24, compared to 15 last term.

Going up to the ANE will be Barmouth and Dyffryn, Llansantffraid Village and Radnor Valley, while coming down from tier 2 are Penrhyncoch. 

Caersws are promoted to Cymru North, Corwen and Rhayader Town are relegated from the ANE.

The FAW National Leagues Board today (6 June) confirmed the composition of the men’s National Leagues (tiers 1-3) for the 2023/24 season.
