Success all round for clubs aiming to gain or retain Tier 2 Licence status
Gresford Athletic have won their appeal to the FAW to retain a Tier 2 Club Licence for next season.
This means the Colliers, who were refused in the first round of applications, can continue playing in the JD Cymru North in 2023-24.
Other clubs to win appeals for a Tier 2 certificate include Caersws, Cefn Albion and Flint Mountain.
Caersws can now be promoted to the Cymru North as Ardal North East champions for 2022-23.
As the second-placed club in Ardal North East, Albion qualify for a play-off against Ardal North West runners-up Bangor 1876 for the right to enter the Cymru North next term.
Flint Mountain finished fourth in Ardal North West so will remain there, but it is still a big boost to the ambitions club to earn a Tier 2 licence.
The independent Club Licensing Appeals Body met today (18 May) to consider the appeals as a result of the First Instance Body decisions for participation in the JD Cymru North and South.
As a result, this concludes the Tier 2 Club Licensing cycle for participation in Tier 2 competitions for the 2023/24 season.
