Felinheli completed back-to-back away wins in the Genero Adran North and celebrated a first-ever victory over last season’s champions Llandudno.
The visitors made a really fast and confident start to the game, played at Nantporth Stadium, Bangor.
Shannon Jones picked a loose ball up in midfield and found Jordanne Greenough, who played a lovely through pass to Fflur Williams, excellent since moving into her new No 10 role, and she calmly slotted home to make it 1-0 after 13 minutes.
Llandudno unfortunately lost Sioned Phillips to injury on the 15-minute mark due to a coming together with Felin youngster Iona Sloan-Lewis,
Phillips went over on her ankle and was unable to continue. Felin wishes her a speedy recovery.
Felinheli kept the pressure on and were rewarded with the second goal on the 20-minute mark with Shannon Jones this time providing the assist for Greenough, who showed immense pace to get in behind the back four and finish past the on-rushing goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
Unfortunately, Greenough had to come off with 5 minutes remaining of the half due to a hamstring injury, Llio Emyr her replacement.
Llandudno were dealt another blow when Louisha Doran had to be replaced on the 40-minute mark due to injury. Felinheli held out until the break at 2-0 up.
Llandudno started the second half brightly, pressuring the Felinheli back-line and were awarded a penalty on the 57th minute with Jasmin Dutton firing past goalkeeper Catrin Beech.
Felin made a substitution in the 65th minute with another youngster coming on, Elain Owen to replace the returning Erin Allen, who has been absent for over a year.
This seemed to settle the away side and Shannon Jones pounced on a Sofie Owen mistake at the back to round the goalkeeper and make it 3-1 with 20 minutes to go.
Felinheli absorbed the pressure well and dealt with the inevitable onslaught from Llandudno but with only three minutes left of the 90 a dangerous cross from Maddie Williams seemed to evade everyone in the box and nestle into the far corner for 3-2.
The visitors stayed compact and kept their composure to see out the remaining few minutes and hold on for their first ever win against Llandudno.
