Nic Bould scored – that’s the report.
No seriously, Conwy Comrades goalkeeper Bould joined in the scoring spree with a successful penalty as the league leaders rattled up double figures at Coronation Gardens.
After a quiet opening, a brilliant run and cross down the left hand side from Dani McIlvogue found the head of captain Dan Williams to make it 1-0.
Within the space of the next three minutes Comrades were 3-0 up with another header from Charlie Jones and a tidy Dan Williams finish.
Just after the half-hour Dazzie Evans released McIlvogue, who weaved his way past several defenders and then finished with a brilliant strike to make it 4-0.
Defender Charlie Jones added a fifth, Evans with the assist.
Jamie Haggas wanted to add his name to the list and his persistence eventually paid off after a few chances when he side-footed home for number six. A brilliant assist from that man Evans again for this one.
A quickfire double from Dan Williams just before the half time whistle saw him boost his tally to four goals and made it 8-0 at the interval.
Just after half time a striker’s finish from centre half Ste O’Neill got the scoreboard moving again.
Shortly after the 60-minute mark, Logan Williams and Sam Ashton came on to add energy to the midfield.
The changes almost instantly paid dividends when the two subs linked up and Ashton prodded home inside the box to bring up double figures.
A penalty was awarded to Conwy and up stepped Bould to convert.
O’Neill, Gary Mellor and Logan Williams completed the scoring with great finishes.
Dean Hughes was a six-goal star for second-place Oak in this emphatic victory for Mark Dudley’s side.
Cory Hughes and John Atherton added a goal apiece for the visitors, Luke Bradshaw with the sole home goal.
Winning manager Dudley said: “It was a good game and a deserved win for the Oak.
“Our aim is to keep winning and challenge for both the league title and cups.”
Kyle Robb scored four and Mike Lundstram added two as Mally hit the opposition for six at the Reso, Rhydwen Drive.
Mally sit third and need to keep winning if they are to challenge the top two.
