It is four months since we chose our Dynamic Dozen to Watch for the 2022-23 season.
So now is a good time to check on how they are performing.
We’ve given the rundown on the women – now it’s the turn of the males.
Age 17, games 16, goals 19 – that says all you need to know about Connor Owen’s start to the 2022-23 season.
The CPD Gwalchmai sensation, who made his first team breakthrough in 2021-22, is currently second top scorer in senior football on Anglesey.
Connor has found the net in 14 of the 16 matches he has played this season – a phenomenal record.
Like many players, he has suffered from a lack of football recently, but still his stats stand out as remarkable.
Since rejoining Abergele in October, the incredible Hoult has banged in 10 goals in six matches.
The former Rhyl and Prestatyn Town player is proving an unstoppable force in a Gele side seemingly headed for back-to-back North Wales Coast East Division One titles.
Hoult has scored in each of his last five outings, including four in a 10-2 victory in Penrhyn Bay at the start of this month.
Joined Cymru North newcomers Chirk on loan from The New Saints back in August and has made a fine impression with the Colliers.
With 18 club appearances under his belt, Rhys has scooped 8 goals for the first team across league and cup.
Last found the net in Chirk’s 1-1 draw at Conwy Borough on November 19.
Scored the winning goal in Trearddur’s most recent victory, a 2-1 success against Llanystumdwy on December 10.
This talented 19-year-old has notched six goals since joining Bay from Holyhead Town in August. He pocketed a hat-trick on his Bay debut against the club he had just left.
Key man in a Trearddur side which is flying in second place in North Wales Coast West Division One.
Three goals so far this season since making his return from a long-term injury.
The 30-year-old West Ham fan found the target in wins over Penrhyn Bay and Caergybi, plus a 3-3 draw at Bow.
Form has been patchy for Rhos, but as they proved when they recently ended Y Glannau’s unbeaten record, they have a squad to match the best. Bret can be relied upon to help them tick.
Holywell have won their last 11 matches in a row across all competitions – and Tom Bibby has started every one of those victories.
That says all you need to know about this ever-consistent midfielder, who joined the Wellmen on a permanent deal from Connah’s Quay Nomads at the start of the campaign.
Bibby is yet to score a first team goal this term – although he has managed one for the reserves – but that could change at any time as he is certainly a capable man in any opposition penalty box.
Excellent young left-back Kian, 20, has made 19 appearances in all competitions for an 1876 side currently top and unbeaten in tier 3 Ardal North West.
He showed another side to his talents in October’s 2-1 win over Rhyl 1879 in a red-hot atmosphere at Belle Vue.
Kian deputised in goal after Huw Shaw was carried off injured and kept a clean sheet.
From his usual left-back position, Kian has shown ability to get forward and pose an attacking threat.
The Park have been short of games lately due to the weather, but Liam Davies has been their most consistent marksman throughout the season.
The striker has netted 13 times in 14 matches so far – 11 of those goals in cups.
In the Park’s most recent game, Davies scored in a 3-0 NEWFA Challenge Cup triumph over Llangollen. He also struck twice in a fantastic 2-0 Welsh Cup win at tier 3 Rhos Aelwyd in August.
Since signing for Athletic at the end of August, 20-year-old front man Lundstram has pocketed 10 goals in 11 matches across all competitions.
He is forming a very promising partnership in attack with Dean Redmond.
Bethesda are currently top of the North Wales Coast West Premier Division and are going great guns heading into 2022-23.
Scored four times in his first two appearances, but did not return to the scoresheet until striking in Mynydd’s recent 7-1 away thumping of Pentraeth.
Has played in 12 matches for the Penrhiw side so far this term and is proving to be a consistent performer.
After a spell where Felinheli suffered some heavy losses, they have been back to form in their last three games, winning the lot.
Their 20-year-old keeper Hughes has made 16 appearances to date this season and has earned widespread respect for his spectacular saves and mature displays.
Nine goals in 11 matches for 1879 this season, but after a recent return, which saw him score in a win at Hawarden Rangers, he is back on the injured list.
Rhyl are certainly missing this outstanding striker, who has amassed 38 goals in 36 matches for the Ardal North West club since joining them last season.
Manager Gareth Thomas will be hoping Ellis has better luck fitness-wise in 2023 as the team badly needs his presence up front.
