Ellie Jones and Cerys Gadd scored two goals apiece for an Amlwch side who triumphed over a Llangefni outfit which travelled with the bare 11 players.
Cefni, who had been in good form of late, also had to field a late replacement goalkeeper with Alaw Enlli Jones taking the gloves.
Usual keeper Jess Marshall was forced to withdraw 15 minutes before the start with a chest complaint so Alaw Enlli, who generally plays out but can double up as a gloveswoman too, stepped up to take over.
The home side took a 17th minute lead when Ellie Jones reacted quickest to fire home from a Sara Furlong corner.
At half time the game was nicely balanced at 1-0 with Cefni not without hope.
Three minutes into the second half, Amlwch added a crucial second.
Emily Ridges’ throw in came to Ellie Jones, whose cross from the right was knocked down by Tesni Hughes and Gadd pounced before firing in an absolute cracker with her left foot.
On 63 minutes Ellie Jones broke down the right and a tremendous cross was fumbled over the line by unfortunate keeper Alaw Enlli, who overall did a fine job in the circumstances.
It was Ellie’s sixth goal of the season, four of which have come against Llangefni, including a pair in the Welsh Cup at the start of the campaign.
Two minutes from time, Gadd was picked out nicely in the box and applied a precision right foot finish.
With no subs, Llangefni kept going really well against an Amlwch team on good form.
