Danny Sullivan and Ilan Ap Gareth were both on the mark twice for a Holywell side which made it an amazing 11 straight league wins with a magnificent performance at Ruthin.
The Wellmen joined Cymru North leaders Colwyn Bay on 34 points at the summit, although Johnny Haseldin’s heroes have played two games more than Steve Evans’ stars.
Holywell were on fire from the start, Dave Forbes forcing Dan Goldston into an early save before on eight minutes Ap Gareth fired the visitors ahead with a shot into the top corner.
Forbes and Ap Gareth saw further efforts fly just wide, then away keeper Keighan Jones denied Ruthin’s Joshua Jones.
In the 37th minute the head of Sullivan delivered yet another goal for the Flintshire men.
Danny Andrews lofted a free kick awarded for a foul on Mark Winsdale into the box and there was Irishman Sullivan to nod home.
Winslade flashed an effort across the face of goal for the travellers after the break, but there were no further goals until the 70th minute when Joshua Jones converted a penalty for Ruthin.
It was anyone’s game now, but Holywell took command again on 75 minutes with another from the now familiar double act – Andrews free kick, Sullivan header – goal! That’s six in six games for the prolific Sullivan.
And the points were sealed when Ap Gareth lashed home from outside the box to make it 4-1.
Only a fine save by Goldston from a Forbes strike prevented Holywell adding a fifth.
