NORTH WALES COAST RESERVE LEAGUE

Penmaenmawr Phoenix Reserves 5 Llanrug United Reserves 4

Inaugural Reserve League champions Penmaenmawr retained their unbeaten record this season but had to stave off a strong challenge from visitors Llanrug.

An own goal from Sion Wyn Parry gave Phoenix a 15th minute lead and Ben Hughes made it two before Ryan Jones pulled one back.

Hughes struck again for the hosts, Matthew Roberts responded, but Joe Williams and Harry Benjamin then found the net to give Pen a 5-2 half-time lead.

In the second half, Michael Owen notched a third for Llanrug on 61 minutes but there were no further goals until injury time when Owain Gibbard cut the deficit to one.

Nefyn United Reserves 2 Llanfairfechan Town Reserves 0

Rhys Williams and Jacob Walker provided the first-half goals which clinched the points for Nefyn.

Bow Reserves 1 Kinmel Bay Reserves 2

Macca Lewis was on the mark for Bow, but Declan Bellamy and Mark Hughes netted for Kinmel in the first half to bag them three points.

North East

Brickfield Rangers Reserves 1 Airbus UK Reserves 0

Gerson Silva Neto’s 90th minute strike clinched the points for Brickfield.

Cefn Albion Reserves 2 Penycae Reserves 1

Heitor Leitao and Callum Mannion produced the second half goals which sealed a narrow win for Albion.

Austin Owen had given Penycae encouragement with a 12th minute goal which ensured they led till half time.

Jamie Foulkes (17 min) and Michael Latham (88) were both sent off for Cefn, while Leslie Morris of Penycae also received his marching orders for a second yellow.

Chirk AAA Reserves 3 Buckley Town Reserves 1

Louie Middlehurst (2) and Steve Roberts nabbed the goals that mattered for the Colliers, Asa Hamilton on target for Bucks.

Flint Town United Reserves 6 Mold Alexandra Reserves 0

Liam Ellis set Flint on their way to a convincing victory with the first two goals in a 6-0 drubbing.

Mold had Sam Roberts dismissed for a second yellow card on the half hour which made their task all the harder.

Subs Deven Bradley and Thomas Harrison made it 4-0 by the 62-minute mark and two more goals followed before the end.

Gresford Athletic Reserves 1 The New Saints Reserves 11

Unbeaten Saints stormed to the summit with an 11-goal salvo at third-place Gresford.

Greg Draper was on target five times, Recce Warder and Josh Evans both scored braces, and there was a goal apiece for Cian Mcintosh and Leo Fairclough.

James Collins came up with the home side’s sole reply.

Callum Roberts, Luka Graham and Kian Parry (2, 1 pen) delivered the vital goals for winners Druids, Arron Thomas the Aelwyd marksman from the penalty spot.

Calum Williams and Deion Hughes made sure Nantlle Vale took three points from Y Morfa.
