Great news – first-ever official sponsor for the FAW Amateur Trophy!

Good news for the second most prestigious cup competition in Wales – it has attracted its first official sponsor!
The Football Association of Wales is excited to announce that Dragon Signs will sponsor the FAW Amateur Trophy for the next four seasons.
The partnership, which will run until the end of the 2025/26 season at least, will see the competition be renamed as the Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy with immediate effect.
The Trophy was briefly sponsored by Carlsberg in the 1990’s, but this latest deal promises more longevity.
Dragon Signs has been the official signage provider of the FAW since 2020, providing branding at grounds and training facilities across the country.
The Cardiff-based company supply and install all types of signage throughout Wales and the UK and have over 30 years’ experience in supporting organisations.
The Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy is open to clubs playing in the Ardal Leagues (Tier 3) and below, with 249 teams entering this season’s competition.
The 2022/23 competition got under way on Friday 2nd September and 123 first-round ties took place across the opening weekend.
Rhys Harrington, Managing Director of Dragon Signs, said “Dragon Signs are big supporters of Welsh sport and recognise how important the amateur game is to the industry.
“This sponsorship felt perfect for Dragon to be able to give something back to the fantastic amateur clubs across Wales. We’re really excited to see this competition develop and grow.”
