Jakeem Forde made a maiden ton for a Mold side which lost off the penultimate ball to Northop at Chester Road.
Barbadian all-round Forde struck 102 as the hosts set 224-8 off 50 overs.

The away side batted fairly steadily throughout, Ben Beaver making 56, James Roberts 50 and Jordan Evans 39.
Lewis Pringle snapped up 2-31 and Usman Butt 2-35 for the hosts in a great contest.
Pontblyddyn (0) 90-10 Menai Bridge (15) 237-9

Premier leaders Menai Bridge bounced back from their first loss of the season in some style by taking all 15 points in a potentially very tricky test at Pontblyddyn.
Bridge won the toss for the 12th time in 18 league matches this season and – as is their usual tactic when calling the coin correctly – chose to bat.
The in-form Robbie Jones, top-scorer the weekend previously at St Asaph, led the way again with 65.
Jones is now on 591 league runs for the season – his highest total since 2011.
Opener Dion Holden added 35, while for Pont, James Hughes scooped 4-33 and Rhys Jones 2-28.
In reply, the hosts were dismissed for just 90, Drickus Visagie picking up 4-13 off 10, Gerallt Roberts 2-19 and Gethin Roberts 2-23.
Bridge are six points clear at the summit from St Asaph, four games apiece left to play.
Mochdre (1) 75-10 St Asaph (14) 79-2
Champions Saints remained on the title trail with an eight-wicket win in a match which took less than 50 overs to complete.
Next-to-bottom Mochdre chose to bat first, but lasted just 29 overs in being sent packing for only 75.
Captain Matty Humphreys produced a one-man show, finishing 42 not out against an ultra-accurate Asaph attack.
Danny Ryan grabbed 3-5 off 4 overs, Dan Evans 3-27 and Mathew Ryan 2-14.
Saints took just 17.2 overs to reach 79-2, skipper William Ryan 22 not out.
Llay Welfare (1) 249-10 Pwllheli (14) 340-7

Captain Jason Underwood struck a stunning third century of the season as Pwllheli pulled further away from the drop zone with a big win at Llay.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat, amassing a huge 340-7 from 50 overs, Underwood’s 119 coming off 103 balls and comprising 17 fours and three sixes.
The all-rounder shared in a stand of 191 for the fourth wicket with fellow South African Christopher Taylor (79).
Syed Kaleem Aslam added 38 not out, while for Llay, Nathan Humphreys took a very commendable 2-29 off 10 overs considering the hammer being dished out to the other bowlers.
Ethan Griffiths then made a marvellous career-best 114 not out from 94 deliveries, including 18 boundaries and a maximum and recorded his maiden ton as Llay responded with a spirited 249 all out.
Logan Rhys Morgan and Ioan Roberts both claimed 3-45 for the visitors.
Gresford (13) 175-5 Bangor (2) 172-10
A key second-wicket partnership of 82 between Joe Benson (53) and Robert Clark (47) did most to guide Gresford to a five-wicket win over Bangor.
David Winter topped the chart with 69 and Tomos Davies posted 38 as the Citizens were bowled out for 172, John Bell 3-14, Chris Ellwood 3-36 and Ryan Williams 3-41 for the hosts.
Gresford hit back with 175-5, Benson and Clarke leading the charge, Idrees Ijaz 2-19 for the beaten visitors.
