North Wales Coast West League reports – August 13

Premier Division

Glantraeth 1 Pwllheli 2

Steffan Toplis and Jac Williams notched the goals which earned Pwllheli all three points at Glantraeth.

Connor Gordon had earlier put the home side in front, Luke Gardiner providing the assist.

Glantraeth’s Richard Jones was shown a red card in the 83rd minute.

Gwalchmai 3 Aberffraw 0

In-form Gwalchmai are the early leaders of the Premier Division after making it three straight wins at the expense of Aberffraw at Maes Meurig.

Young talent Connor Owen fired Gwalch in front inside the first minute, making it six goals in four games this season for the 17-year-old.

Although Berffro battled their way into the game, two further goals from Steve Jones on 34 and 54 minutes made sure the points went to the black and whites.

Young keeper Maddox Owen, 16, was very impressive for the visitors.

Llanrug United 4 Amlwch Town 1

Tomi Llywelyn, Kevin Lloyd, Jonathan Sadler and Shaun Roberts shared the goals as Llanrug ran out emphatic winners at Eithin Duon.

After a blank first half, Llywelyn edged ‘Rug in front on 49 minutes only for Chris Byast to equalise on 51.

United took command with three goals in the last 20 minutes.

Mynydd Llandegai 0 Penrhyndeudraeth 2

Tom Hughes and Osian Jones were on target for Penrhyn in this cracking result at Llandegai, who had won their opening two games.

Both goals came in the second half, Hughes breaking the deadlock on 58 minutes and Owen sealing it in added time.

Nefyn United 2 Bethesda Athletic 2

It was a thrilling end at Cae’r Delyn which saw Bethesda snatch an injury time equaliser.

Pesda led 1-0 at the break through an Osian Jones strike in overtime.

When Elgan Jones levelled on 77 minutes and Daniel Roberts put the Penwaig 2-1 up after 86, it looked like a home win was on the cards.

However, the prolific Joe Todd salvaged a point for the visitors with a 93rd minute net-finder.

Division One

CPD Cefni 3 Arriva 2

A first win of the season for Cefni with Nathan Lewis finding the net twice in the opening half and Jamielee Patterson also featuring on the scoresheet.

Cefni were 3-0 up entering the 90th minute, but Mark Williams and Andy Clarke replied in added time for the Busmen, only for the clock denied them a chance to chase a dramatic equaliser.

Llangoed & District 1 Y Fali 5

Great result for Y Fali who really got it together on the day.

Long-serving Marc Wilson scored twice for the visitors, one a penalty, Simon Davies, Mark Hamblin and Dan Owen adding one apiece.

It was 2-1 to the visitors at the break, Wilson (pen) and Davies putting Y Fali two-up before Wayne Thomas replied on 26 minutes.

Mountain Rangers 2 Caergybi 3

Louis Chapman, James Ryan and Owain Griffiths pocketed the goals which bagged Caergybi a victory which was more clear cut than the scoreline suggests.

Rangers’ responses came via a Sion Thomas own goal in the first half and Tom Allport after 89 minutes.
