Saltney Ferry 0 Ruabon Rovers 13

Conner Kendrick continued his flying start to the season with six goals for Ruabon Rovers in their 13-0 away sinking of the Ferry.

Former Wrexham, Chester, Penycae, Cefn Albion and Mold Alex front man Kendrick made it eight goals in two games for his new club in the NEWFL Championship.

Two of Kendrick’s double hat-trick came from the penalty spot and he netted three times in each half.

Ryan Williams and Joshua Hughes added two apiece for Rovers, Shaun Valentine, James Jones and Brynley Thomas also on target.

Caerwys 5 Acton 5

Two players scored four goals in this match – Caerwys’ Jack Smallman and Samuel Giles of Acton.

Elliott Williams added a single for the hosts and Joe Garner did likewise for the away team.

Caerwys led 5-3 only for Giles to find the net twice for Acton in added time.

CPD Gronant 8 FC United of Wrexham 0

Aidan Bell hit five goals, including a penalty, for the hosts, Dylan Murray struck twice and Daniel Price was also on the mark.

Johnstown YFC 2 Aston Park Rangers 5

It was certainly a day for individual scoring feats in the Championship.

Kallum Pierce bagged all five for Aston Park in their win at Johnstown, matching a trend which saw Conner Kendrick hit six for Ruabon Rovers, Aidan Bell five in Gronant colours and Jack Smallman of Caerwys and Samuel Giles of Acton register quadruples in the same game.

Nathan Mugford and Joshua Smith (pen) hit back for the hosts.

Sychdyn 3 Overton Recreational 2

This Championship clash at Wat’s Dyke Way featured the least amount of goals among the day’s five fixtures.
Harry Massey and James Roberts put Overton two-up at half time, but after the break Jack Radford, Kieran Durkin and 90th minute net-finder Niall Roberts turned the tables for Sychdyn.

Nathan Williams (2), John Newton (2), Matthew Bennett, Dean Hyland and Daniel Calvert (pen) shared the goals for the champions in this mashing of Brymbo.

FC Queen’s Park 5 Mynydd Isa Spartans 1

Lewis Evans, Dylan Jones, Liam Davies, Jake Harper and Jake Hanley all scored one apiece for the Park, Jay Wiles responding.

New Brighton Villa 2 Connah’s Quay Town 3

Ryan Hewitt converted two penalties and Jake Leonard provided a 93rd minute winner to steal the points for Town.
Goals from Matthew Robinson and James Beck had kept NBV in front until the 87th minute.

Reserve Division

Castell Alun Colts Reserves 1 Llay Welfare 3rds 1

Craig Worthington’s 85th minute equaliser earned a point for Colts after a goal on 16 from Levi Coleman had kept Llay ahead.

Connah’s Quay Town Reserves 4 Ruthin Town Development 0

Andrew Speed, Mark Davies (2) and Damon Bradley secured an emphatic win for the hosts.

Lex XI Reserves 4 Greenfield Reserves 0

James Greenshields (2), Ewan Evans and Daniel Pridding shared the goals which booked the Lawmen a clear triumph over Greenfield’s second team.

Penyffordd Lions Reserves 1 Caerwys Reserves 1

Callum Price handed Caerwys a 31st minute lead, but Lewis Evans levelled soon after and that was the end of the scoring.
