Mochdre (0) 135-10 Bangor (15) 246-3

Owen Reilly scored his maiden first team ton for a Bangor side which romped to a maximum points triumph at Mochdre.

Wales cap Reilly, chosen for international duty this season mainly based on his skills as an opening bowler, displayed his batting prowess as well by hitting 111 not out at Swan Road.

The 20-year-old shared an opening stand of 135 with Idrees Ijaz, who made 59 before being first out.

Robbie Marshall (38) then added another 84 with Reilly as the visitors set a mighty 246-3 off 50 overs, Russ Boswell 2-44 for the hosts.

Despite an heroic 76 not out from skipper Matty Humphreys in reply, the rest of the Mochdre batting was a let down as they collapsed to 135 all out.

Spinner Saami Welsh was the star with the ball, snapping up 6-47, Ijaz bagging 2-6 and Jonny Wells 2-24.

An opening stand of 89 between Dion Holden (52) and Jack Gower (47) laid the foundations for a 16th league win in succession for leaders Menai Bridge.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, the hosts posted 247-9 off 50 overs, skipper Gethin Roberts adding 47 not out, Matthew Williams taking 3-49 and Matthew Mullarkey 2-36 for Northop.

In response, the visitors were limited to 205-7, Richard Walker 61, Williams 42 and Mullarkey 33 no, Ashley Wood 3-42 and Drickus Visagie 2-26 for the hosts.

Pontblyddyn (0) 124-10 St Asaph (15) 125-1

Champions Saints stayed in the title hunt after a ruthless nine-wicket success at Alder Meadow.

Pont opted for first knock but got rolled over for just 124 in 43.2 overs, Stevel Rodney top-scoring with 28.

Danny Ryan scooped 3-25 for the visitors and Mathew Ryan 2-21 from 10.

Mathew Ryan completed a fine afternoon’s work by notching 60 not out as Asaph cruised to 125-1 in 30.3.

Dan Evans (30) joined in an opening stand of 68 with Ryan, then Nathanael Scott finished 27 not out, putting on an unbroken 57 alongside the top-scorer.

Brymbo (14) 236-10 Mold (1) 156-9

Connor Davies was an all-round hero for Brymbo

Connor Davies claimed a season’s finest and a second career-best 5-38 in a star bowling display for winners Brymbo.

The hosts were all out for a formidable 236 thanks to some very consistent batting almost all through the card.

Key bowler Davies also led the way with the bat, making 40, Joseph Norman hit 36, Mohamed Nilam Jayman 35 and James Claybrook 34.

Richard Deniz grabbed 4-43 for the visitors, Lewis Pringle 2-23 and Richard Crane 2-44.

Mold were then restricted to 156-9, John Crane 51, Ben Roberts’ 2-32 providing good back-up to Davies’ five-for.

Llandudno (14) 113-3 Llay Welfare (1) 112-10

Stephen Cheung’s match-turning career-best 5-21 setup Llandudno for a convincing win over Llay at The Oval.

Cheung’s five victims in a potent seven-over spell included the prized scalp of opener David Phennah for 52.

Tom Thornton also took 2-8 and Luke Regan 2-23 for the home side, who were asked to field first.

Sam Rimmington struck 58 as Tudno eased to 113-3 in 24.2 overs for a 14-1 success.

Pwllheli (3) 159-10 Gresford (12) 195-10

Half-tons from Sam Thompson (56) and Joshua Knowles (51) ensured Gresford posted a winning score at Parc Bodegroes.

The visitors made 195 all out, Pwllheli skipper Jason Underwood snapping up 5-42 and Christopher Taylor 2-31.

Taylor hit a superb 70 in the home reply, but overall the Llyn side could only muster 159 all out, Iwan Moore adding 35, Sam Thompson 4-30 and Ryan Williams 2-27 for the Wrexham-area outfit.
