Bethesda’s women celebrate fine win after good battle at Conwy

Sunday’s battle of the top two sides at Bodlondeb saw champions Bethesda emerge as winners.
It was a good contest, with Conwy put into bat and scoring 73-4 for a net total of 253.
Laura Nicholls made 13 and Emma Leighton-Jones was twice out in her 16 (net score 6).

Pesda wicket-takers were: Poppy Smith 1 for 4, Ellie Creek 1-9 and Emma Jones 1-11.
The Ogwen Valley visitors responded with 297-6 for a net score of 267.

Emma Jones posted 16, Hannah Jones 13 (once out, net 8), Poppy Smith 11 (once out, net 6) and Rhiannon Roberts made 8, the champions winning by 14 runs.
For Conwy, Komal Hirani took 2-19 and captain Llinos Hill 2-21.
Conwy lead the table by 10 points from Bethesda, who have three games in hand.
