LLANGEFNI TOWN v HOLYHEAD HOTSPUR
CYMRU NORTH – FRIDAY, 2.30 PM
Anglesey’s top two sides meet today in a Friday derby which could turn out to be a cracker.
Llangefni Town may be one place off the Cymru North basement, but they have lost just one of their last seven league games.
The problem for Cefni is just one of those matches has delivered a win, five of the seven ending in a draw.
Today they will be ultra keen to turn a potential point into three at the expense of their Holy Island visitors.
Hotspur are in fine form themselves – just one loss in nine matches.
Darren Garmey’s side won the reverse fixture last August, goals from Deian Parry and Jay Gibbs securing a 2-0 verdict at the New Stadium.
Garmey said: “We are looking forward to what will be a tough game against a much improved Llangefni who I’m sure will have good support behind them on the day.
“The aim since Christmas has been to finish the season as strong as possible and with the exception of Ruthin we have been on a great run and can take a lot of confidence from that period.
“We were without a few of the regulars last week at Buckley but they will all be available on Friday.”
