Ardal North East – leaders Chirk AAA victorious after difficult away trip

Dale Davies (red) was on the mark again for Chirk AAA

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST REPORTS – APRIL 9

Bow Street 1 Chirk AAA 2

Report: Nigel Roberts

Ardal North East leaders Chirk recorded their sixth successive win with a battling performance against the tough-to-beat Bow Street.
With just a single loss in their last seven league matches, the Ceredigion hosts went ahead through Ryan Evans after just 13 minutes.
However, it didn’t take the Colliers long to draw level at Cae Piod when Dale Davies shot home from close range after a Jordan MacCarter header had hit the bar.
Tom Williams fired Chirk ahead on 23 minutes with a great strike from a wide position after a fine through ball from Jake Simms.
The game changed on the hour mark when MacCarter was shown red after an alleged off the ball incident.
It was backs against the wall for the remainder of the game but Chirk battled hard and held onto their lead.

Berriew 5 Kerry 0

Norton Collins (2), Josh Evans (pen), Richard Davies and Marc Jones shared the goals as Berriew reclaimed fifth place.
It was a comfortable triumph for the Rhiewsiders, who were 4-0 up at half time.
Berriew announced on Sunday that team manager David Jones is to step down at the end of the season due to personal reasons. Number two Paul Inns will take over in 2022-23.

Four Crosses 0 Dolgellau Athletic 2

Jamie Lee Jones’ 42nd minute strike, and a Joseph Clarke own goal, sealed the spoils for Dolgellau at Foxen Manor.

Llanfair United 3 Cefn Albion 2

Albion’s title hopes suffered a big blow when they went down by the odd goal in five at Mount Field.

Conner Kendrick and Leighton Kendrick netted for the visitors, but a Max McLaughlin double and Josh Astley single won it for Llanfair.

Machynlleth 1 Penycae 2

Josh Mazzarella and Jaden Jones produced the goals which earned Penycae maximum points.

Callum Page’s 89th minute penalty proved only a consolation for Machynlleth.

Penparcau 0 Caersws 2

Glynn Coney and Neil Mitchell both struck in the second half as Caersws remained in the title picture with a well-earned win at Penparcau.

Rhos Aelwyd 1 Welshpool Town 2

Three points for Pool at Clarke Street where Richard Litchfield (17 minutes) and Joshua Lenc (50) found the target.

Daniel Roberts had brought Rhos level after 20 minutes.
