Attention Bangor 1876 supporters – would you like to know more about the latest happenings at your club and how you can have a say in its future?
If so, an event being held in Bangor next week is perfect for you.
1876 will be holding a Fans’ Forum at The Skerries pub in Bangor (374 High Street) from 6.30pm on Tuesday, 1st March.
This event will provide an opportunity for 1876 fans to meet with board members for a question and answer session.
A club statement said: “We will be able to focus on where we are at as a club at the moment as well as our plans for the future.
“Our chairman Glynne Roberts has said that this event is particularly important given that we are a fan-owned club and owe our very existence to the support of our dedicated followers:
“Given the problems caused by Covid, this is our first opportunity to have a face to face meeting with club supporters. The aim is for this to be the first in a series of events that will ensure that fans are at the heart of all club developments as we aim to progress. We can only move forward as one.
“We are keen to develop the way in which we communicate with fans, and Kev Taylor has recently agreed to take on a Fan Liaison role in order to ensure that our fans are able to feed in their views and questions about our club to the board.
“Kev has said that the role will involve him acting as “a point of contact between supporters and the board” and would like to encourage supporters who want to feed in any ideas to contact him so as he can pass on their views. Supporters will be able to do so in person at matches and by e-mailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org
“Given our status as a fan-owned club with a community-focused ethos, Kev is particularly keen to hear from supporters who have ideas about how we can work local community groups in addition to how we function as a club on and off the pitch.
“We look forward to welcoming supporters to this event and would like to thank The Skerries for kindly agreeing to host it.”
