Bangor 1876 closed the gap on leaders Bodedern Athletic to two points having played a game more with Saturday’s five-goal victory at Aberffraw.
The visitors struck early when Jamie Petrie played in Chris Jones, who finished well from the right of the penalty area.
In the 11th minute, Sion Edwards swung in a corner from the left and it was met by Les Davies, whose powerful first time volley gave home goalkeeper Caron Hughes no chance.
Petrie looked set to extend the lead when he broke into the box but his effort was saved well by Hughes.
Chris Jones’ follow-up strike was cleared off the line by the home defence.
On 23 minutes, Petrie did add 1876’s third. From a central position a few yards outside of the penalty area he dribbled right and then unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box for undoubtedly the goal of the afternoon.
HALF-TIME: Aberffraw 0-3 Bangor 1876
Shortly after the interval, Chris Jones turned the ball home from close range following an attack down the left for his 18th goal in 16 games.
Despite conceding so early in the second period, Aberffraw remained resolute in defence for the rest of the half.
The islanders had an opportunity of their own when Nathan Moore’s left-foot piledriver was smartly saved by 1876’s debutant goalkeeper Cian Thomas.
Tom Clarke thought he had added goal number five but his header following a free-kick was ruled out due to offside.
Late on came a big bonus for 1876 fans when captain Michael Johnston side-footed home from six yards for his first goal in almost two years.
Gafyn Buckland celebrated his first win as new Gwalchmai manager.
Jamie Baker gave Gaerwen a 12th minute lead, but the visitors recovered well to take the lead before half time through goals from Dion Owen and Cameron Jones.
Gwalch missed further opportunities to build on their score and almost paid the price when Gaerwen went very close to a late equaliser.
Second-half goals from Sion Hogan and Callum Graves (penalty) clinched the points for the Tigers.
Hogan won the spot-kick which Graves converted in the 79th minute.
Carl Griffiths (2), Alan Mark Owen and Jonathan Sadler shared the goals in one of Llanrug’s best wins of the season.
The home side scored three times in the first half hour to virtually put the game in the bag.
Three goals in the opening 25 minutes put Pwllheli in total command, Jason Banks (2) and Jordan Roberts on target.
Mark Hughes’ Bethesda side hit top spot in Division One with a five-goal pasting of Bodorgan at Parc Meurig.
As well as the manager, it was a good day for the Hugheses on the field, with Scott scoring a hat-trick and Noa and Daniel adding singles

Marquis Holland bagged a double as fourth-place Llanfairpwll continued their fine form with victory against Mountain Rangers at Maes Eilian.
Luke Owen added a late third for Llanfair, who are unbeaten in five outings.
Robert Parry (2) and Iolo Jones provided the goals which sealed Llanystumdwy all three points on Anglesey.
Llion Jones and Sion Jones scored one apiece to run the home side close.
Adam Jones pocketed a hat-trick for the Beganifs in a convincing success over Rovers.
Aled Pritchard added a single for the hosts.
