Female Football Focus 2021 – Jess Jones (Llandudno)

Jess Jones has taken a leap forward in her football career this season by joining tier 2 Genero Adran North side Llandudno.

The 22-year-old midfielder had previously spent some impressive campaigns at Kinmel Bay, but is now helping the Seasiders in their quest for glory.

Grassroots North Wales chatted to Jess this week about how her season is going.

How did you become interested in football?

Probably from constantly playing with my brothers in the back garden.

What is your training schedule like? Do you practice every day?

Train whenever I can.

If you are not playing football or not working, what do you do in your spare time?

Spend time with friends and family.

Good, I’m looking forward to getting into it more when I’m available

What are your feelings on the women’s football pyramid changes in Wales? Are you in favour of an elite Tier 2 North?

Tell us about the greatest game you’ve played in

Playing in a semi final where we were 3-0 down at half time but came back to 3-3 and then I scored the winning goal during extra time.

What’s your finest achievement to date as a footballer?

Winning a final
