FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH EAST REPORTS

Leaders The New Saints were beaten at home for the second successive match as fellow title hopefuls Brickfield Rangers won a 4-3 thriller at Park Hall on Monday night.

Jeanny Leblanc-Akpo hit the post early for TNS before the visitors took a ninth minute lead via a superb Jack Honey free kick.

In the 15th minute Honey played in Aiden Fox, who went for goal and curled a beauty into the far corner.

Saints rallied, Joseph Spencer halving the deficit before Leblanc-Akpo again struck the upright, but the ball rebounded to Tom Webster, who powerfully hammered home to make it 2-2 after 22 minutes.

Straight from the restart Brickie attacked and Alex Derosa lashed home an absolute pearler from 30 yards.

In the 33rd minute Derosa passed to Oscar Egerton, who smashed the ball in left footed from the edge of the box.

Half-time: TNS 2 Brickfield 4

The second half was far less exciting in an attacking sense, with Brickfield showing their defensive qualities as the hosts tried to get back into the contest.

Saints hit the woodwork one more time before Leblanc-Akpo pulled one back with seven minutes left. But that was the end of the scoring.

Robbie Jones netted a four-minute hat-trick for Connah’s Quay Nomads in Saturday’s 7-0 demolition of Rhydymwyn.

Jones struck on 78, 79 and 82 minutes, his third goal from the penalty spot.

Dominic Deacon (2), Charlie Holland and Charlie Davies added the rest.

Cefn Druids and Airbus played out a 2-2 draw.

Goals from Connor Cox and Finley Savage twice had the Wingmakers ahead, but Max Pritchard and Elliott Durnell hit back, the latter with an 89th minute equaliser.

Airbus player George Burrows was shown a red card.

On Wednesday night, Mold Alexandra pipped Rhydymwyn 2-1, Josh Davies and Lewis Hopwood making it 2-0 before Evan Cooper replied.

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH WEST

Two goals early in the second half clinched Llandudno Under-23’s a 3-2 derby success over Conwy Borough at Maesdu Park.

Boro led twice in the first period through Marcus Breese and Cory Williams, Greg Hall responding to make it 2-1 to the visitors at the break.

Max Moore and Harry Croston both netted in the first seven minutes after the turnaround to seal the points.

NORTH WALES COAST LEAGUE RESERVE DIVISION

Ifan Gwilym Jones was a hat-trick hero for Nefyn United in their 4-1 win over Kinmel Bay.

Jones found the net on 16, 41 and 77 minutes at Cae’r Delyn.

Earlier, Iwan Moore gave the Penwaig a third-minute lead only for Kinmel Bay, who played really well, to level soon after through Aaron Roberts.
