Holyhead Hotspur 2 (Parry 25, Gibbs 31)
Llangefni Town 0

The first meeting at tier-two level between these sides since 2009-10 ended in a deserved Hotspur victory.

Darren Garmey’s men celebrated their first win of the current season, but it was a fourth straight league defeat for Cefni.

The hosts had the best of things in the first half, striker Mel McGinness heading straight at visiting keeper Steve Sinclair from a Cai Powell-Roberts cross.

Hotspur took the lead on 25 minutes when Deian Parry forced the ball home after a Liam Morris effort was parried by Sinclair.

Six minutes later great work from Morris set up Jay Gibbs to slot past the oncoming keeper.

Goalmouth action was at a premium in the second half, Cefni’s biggest threat a long range effort from Dylan Summers-Jones.

Winning manager Garmey said: “Although we were not at our best throughout, we managed the game really well after going two up and showed great maturity in the second half.

“As expected it was a tense game and we are really happy to get our first win in front of a good crowd at home.”

Prestatyn Town 2 (Jamie Reed 3, Ashley Ruane 21)
Holywell Town 1 (Danny Andrews 24)

First-half goals from Jamie Reed and Ashley Ruane proved enough to secure three points for the Seasiders.

Reed struck as early as the third minute when he bundled the ball home after an Ian Kearney shot caused confusion in the box.

Kai Wallis delivered a fine ball in behind the defence to release Ruane, who chipped the onrushing keeper to make it 2-0 on 21 minutes.

Three minutes later Danny Andrews replied for the Wellmen from the penalty spot.

A fiery start to the second half saw tackles fly in and eventually referee Mark Petch began to brandish yellow cards.

Wallis let go from distance but Holywell leeper Mike Platt managed to tip the ball around the post.

On 82 minutes, Holywell’s Dylan Allshorn was shown a second yellow after he stopped a break away for the Seasiders.

Moments later both teams were down to 10 after Wallis received a second caution for a foul on the edge of the home box.

Buckley Town 5 (McHarrie 36, Bellis 42, Littler 83 & 85, Roberts 87)
Ruthin Town 0

An excellent attendance of 462 at The Globe saw Buckley go nap and remain joint top of the Cymru North.

The hosts broke the deadlock on 36 minutes through Scott McHarrie before on 42 Ruben Teixera sent over a perfect cross for Aled Bellis to head in number two.

The score remained 2-0 until the closing minutes when a quick double from Connor Littler put the home team out of sight.

Soon after another brilliant cross into the box was finished off by Josh Roberts.

Gresford Athletic 0
Airbus UK 1 (Adam Davies 89)

Adam Davies’ fifth goal of the season a minute from time was enough to grab all three points for the Wingmakers.

Both sides had earlier close calls in what was a tight encounter overall.

Colwyn Bay 1 (Mannion 23)
Conwy Borough 2 (McGonigle 2, McCaffery 38)

A second successive home defeat for Bay who must have been cursing their luck after hitting the crossbar three times in quick succession in the closing minutes after Tom McCready had earlier struck the post.

Conwy got a flying start with a goal in the opening 90 seconds by Corrig McGonigle.

The Seagulls equalised on 22 minutes with George Mannion heading his first goal for the club from Cai Owen’s cross.

Conwy were back in front by half-time thanks to a thunderbolt from Sean McCaffery.

Colwyn had numerous chances in the second half, but could not find the net, Conwy keeper Rory Crowther making good saves from Mannion, Llyr Morris (twice) and Danny Edwards. The woodwork was also struck four times.

At the other end Andy Coughlin made a couple of big saves to keep it at 2-1.

Bangor City 3 (Boss 40 & 45, Mello 68)
Llandudno 3 (Cavanagh 17 & 90, Owen 29)

A six-goal thriller at Nantporth ended all-square.

Shaun Cavanagh handed Tudno a 17th minute lead against his old club before Morgan Owen doubled the away score on 29.

City hit back in the last five minutes of the first half with a double from Alex Boss.

Things looked ropey for the hosts when danger man Dante Isla was red carded on the hour, but undeterred, the Citizens went in front for the first time after 68 minutes through Giacomo Mello.

Battling Llandudno never gave up and Cavanagh salvaged them a point with a 90th minute equaliser.
