This is the real big match on Sunday!

Millbank FC v FC Mally
Sunday, July 11 – kick off 11 am at Rhydwen Drive, Rhyl

What a cracker is in store this Sunday as Rhyl’s up-and-coming stars Millbank FC take on the long-established kings of the North Wales coast FC Mally from Llandudno Junction.

On their team Facebook page, Millbank manager Liam Groves writes: “Make no mistake, this may be a pre-season friendly, but I’m sure there will plenty of passionate play from both teams.

We see this as a perfect opportunity to flex the ever-growing squad size we have at our disposal.

“In recent weeks I really believe we have come a long way in a short space of time. Having only formed some months ago we have at times learned the hard way, however, being able to take the faults and adapt for future games has been the real key in our development.

“As it stands, we will be taking a 16-man squad with us on Sunday. This leaves a very bittersweet taste, having so many of our lads wanting to play but just not being feasible to take all available.”

Groves added: “We want to see as many faces as possible at the game. Grassroots football is made by the support of both teams so if anybody is looking for something to do Sunday morning before the Euro 2020 final, this is the ticket.”
