Bethel striker Ffion Wyn Williams is 22 today.

Grassroots North Wales published a birthday feature on her last year, but we never let a chance of highlighting our superstars pass by, so here are 10 Fabulous Ffion Facts.

One

Ffion has scored a total of 47 goals for Bethel in just over 30 games across the past three seasons.
She netted 16 in 2017-18, 20 in 2018-19 and 11 in the shortened 2019-20 campaign. Her overall tally is well over 50 as she was with the club before 2017-18.

Two

In 2016-17 she netted a personal best seven times in a single game when Bethel overcame Bangor City 13-0.

Three

Ffion was goalkeeper for the Caernarfon Girls team which won the 2013-14 FAW Under-16 Cup.
She kept a clean sheet in the final, which saw the Cofis beat Llanyrafon 2-0 to become the first-ever North Wales team to win the cup.
Caernarfon celebrated a quadruple that season.

Four

Ffion has a twin brother Osian, who of course is also 22 today. Happy birthday to both.

Five

Anglesey-based Ffion, a former pupil of Ysgol David Hughes, Menai Bridge, is a firefighter for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Six

As well as playing football, Ffion is also an up and coming K1 fighter. In October 2019, she won on her full K1 debut, defeating Megan Johnston on a unanimous decision in Sheffield.

Seven

In 2018-19, she was joint top scorer for Bethel with 20 goals as they shared the North Wales League Division One title.

Eight

During that 2018-19 campaign, Ffion scored five goals and laid on three assists as Bethel whipped Kinmel Bay 15-0.

The 2019-20 season saw Ffion emerge a Welsh Cup hat-trick hero in a 4-3 win at Rhyl.

Ten

Ffion has twice played in Welsh Cup quarter-finals for Bethel against Welsh Premier League opponents. In 2016-17, she featured in a gallant 4-2 defeat to Cardiff City FC Women and in 2019-20 she was in the maroons side which performed superbly well against WPWL leaders Swansea City in a 4-0 loss.
