My North Wales women’s football dream team: Ffiôn Evans (Corwen)

Ffion Evans (front row, third from right)

Ffiôn Evans of Corwen Women FC chooses Team No 26 in the North Wales Dream XI series.

QPR fan Ffiôn, who was 19 on March 13, can operate on either wing, but often plays left-back.

She is one of many of the current Corwen women squad who have developed through the club’s youth teams, co-ordinated by the late and much-missed Huw “Chick” Jones.

Ffiôn follows previous Dream Team ‘managers’ Shona Roberts, Ellie Sandiford, Carol Lewis, Ceryl Jones, Paige Williams (Amlwch), Tegan Hewitt, Alaw Davies-Smith, Nia Wyn Ellis, Annmarie Jones, Fflur Williams, Chelsea Evans, Abby Williams, Gwenno Gibbard Bolton, Lexi Crawley, Claire Colville, Cerys Gadd, Libby McClelland, Meinir Thomas, Erica Jones, Rachel Roberts, Beca Williams, Mari Gibbard, Emily Jones, Cara Wyn Hughes and Catrin Wyn Thomas.
