Dale Milne selects his all-time Prestatyn Town FC XI

Midfield ace Dale Milne has already talked about his football career to Grassroots North Wales.
Now he chooses his All-time Prestatyn Town XI. Magnificent stuff!
GOALKEEPER
John Clague
Just a beast of a man and bravery to match.
DEFENDERS
Ian (Lewi) Lewis
Ian wasn’t the greatest I’ve ever seen but he would give 200% in every game he played.
Geraint Hughes
Great player, fit as a fiddle and unbelievable ball winner, would go through walls.
Ian Grimes
He was just fantastic. Should have played at a much higher level but loved the club.
Steve Rees
Another fantastic player, good on the ground as well as in the air. Again worthy of a higher standard.

MIDFIELD
Gwyn (Gonzo) Jones
Unbelievable on the ball, always seemed to have time on the ball. Could land a ball on a sixpence from 40 yards.
Johnny Parry
Full package footballer, he had the lot.
He was a very special player who I was lucky to play with.
Geraint Jones (Lester)
Another all round footballer who scored so many great goals and just made football look easier than it was.
Always had time for the young lads in the team and helping develop them in their game.
Gary Hayes (Monster)
Fantastic player, great motivator (you never argued back with him).
Had the full package also. Just had a range of passing to match anyone I’ve seen.
STRIKERS
Richie Semple (Tip Toes)
Now this lad could score goals, all types of goals as he had everything…..fast, strong and a good football head on him.
Stuart Hannen
Another man who would run through a wall for the team, score goals that many wouldn’t even think of. Always driving everyone in the team on.
SUBSTITUTES
Gary Twynham
Played all my football from school to Wales teams with Gary.
Probably the best I’ve ever played with.
He only played a few games for Town but my god he was just a different level. He played at a very high standard and did himself proud.
David Hayes

Great footballer. Again I watched his development into the player he became. Loved playing with him as he was just a fantastic footballer.
Mike Parker

Another lad I watched grow into a proper footballer. He is just so good on the ball and could run forever, he has everything.
MANAGER
Eddie Garrett
Manager in the 1990’s. This man was brilliant for Prestatyn Town.
He got them more professional and put the club in a better position in a different level of league while playing some fantastic football.
Loved the game and probably got the Town’s team back on the map.
