Well done Jamie Reed – 100 Cymru Premier goals

Jamie Reed became the 31st player to reach 100 goals in Welsh Premier League history after scoring a double in Aberystwyth Town’s 3-0 win at former club Cefn Druids on Tuesday night.

Reed, 33, felt it fitting he achieved the landmark at Aberystwyth, the first club he played for in the WPL back in 2007-08.

He marked that occasion in style, with a hat-trick on debut against mighty TNS, and 14 years later he is now in his third spell with the blacks and greens.

Reed said: “Only fitting to get the 100th with the club where it all started all them years ago!”

The talented frontman has also played for Rhyl, Bangor City, The New Saints, Llandudno, Newtown and Cefn Druids in the Welsh top flight.

He has made more than 200 WPL appearances and won league titles with Rhyl in 2008-09 and Bangor (2010-11).

With the Lilywhites, he netted 13 goals in their championship-winning season and was top-scorer with 17 for City when they lifted their third title. He finished head of the chart despite leaving the Citizens in January 2011 to join York City.

Away from the WPL, Jamie has won the FA Trophy and the Conference Premier play-off final with York.

Other clubs Jamie has featured for include Wrexham, when they were in the Football League, Glentoran, Colwyn Bay, Tamworth, Cambridge United, Chester and Australian sides Dandenong Thunder and South Melbourne.
