Danielle Alice Barnfield, 22, has experienced the joy of lifting the Welsh Under-16 Girls Cup and being part of a North Wales League title-winning team.
She won those honours as a junior and senior with Caernarfon Town.
Her last club was Mountain Rangers in 2019-20, but like everyone else in North Wales this season she did not kick a competitive ball.
Today Danielle chooses Dream Team No 29 for Grassroots North Wales.
She follows previous ‘managers’ Swain Elenid, Iona Williams, Ffion Evans, Shona Roberts, Ellie Sandiford, Carol Lewis, Ceryl Jones, Paige Williams (Amlwch), Tegan Hewitt, Alaw Davies-Smith, Nia Wyn Ellis, Annmarie Jones, Fflur Williams, Chelsea Evans, Abby Williams, Gwenno Gibbard Bolton, Lexi Crawley, Claire Colville, Cerys Gadd, Libby McClelland, Meinir Thomas, Erica Jones, Rachel Roberts, Beca Williams, Mari Gibbard, Emily Jones, Cara Wyn Hughes and Catrin Wyn Thomas.
Julio‘s one of the best penalty savers and all round shot stoppers I’ve played with. She can also be just as influential outfield if required.
Jordanne’s pace and stamina has made her a stand out player for Llandudno for many years. Good defensively and offensively.
Not much gets past Erica due to her ability to read the game. A class act on and off the pitch who is a natural leader.
Good reader of the game, who is also difficult to beat. Kim is vocal from the back, and always times her tackles to perfection.
Very energetic and powerful player with a good attitude. Sioned is always there to help guide the youngsters, including myself when transitioning to the women’s game from junior football.
Another determined player who won’t stop running for you. I would much rather have Lowri on my side than come up against her.
Katie’s composed on the ball and capable of making every kind of pass. One of the few quality players who can play in any position and make it look like they’ve been there for years.
Ffion can go 90 minutes without doing much wrong. She’s a determined player who can read the game and make the pass that makes the difference, as well as add to the scoresheet.
Despite Lois also not being able to play competitively for some time due to injuries, she’s probably the quickest player I’ve shared a pitch with. Very skilful and a good eye for goal.
Chloe may not have played competitively for some time but she is one of the most naturally gifted players I’ve ever played with: quick, strong, agile and able to attack / defend as she wishes.
Anna is a real threat going forward with her pace and skill. She’s also not afraid to get stuck in and is always looking to get the ball back and go forward.
