Denbigh Town switch to North Wales Women’s Football League

Denbigh (orange and black) take on Bethel last season

Denbigh Town have joined the North Wales Women’s Football League for 2020-21.

Town were originally part of the new North Wales Coast FA League, but have now switched to boost the NWWFL, run by the North East Wales FA, up to 14 teams.

Denbigh will be managed by Jordie Baker this season and all summer reports from the camp have been positive.

They have retained 20 players from last season and completed the signing of five new faces, with more to follow.

A large number of their players are under 20, as they promote a pathway for younger players to move into adult football.

The North Wales Women’s Football League committee are meeting this week to decide the structure for 2020-21.

It could end up being one league of 14 teams, or two divisions of seven.
