Cymru Premier League new boys Flint Town United really mean business in the transfer market.
The Silkmen have this afternoon unveiled Caernarfon Town legend Nathan Craig as their latest signing.
The arrival of Craig comes on the back of Ben Nash, Conor Harwood, Ben Burrows, Wes Baynes and Rob Hughes landing at the Essity Stadium in the past fortnight.
Craig, 28, is a former Everton and Wales Under-21 midfielder who also played professionally for Torquay United.
He was Caernarfon Town’s top-scorer in the Welsh Premier two seasons ago with 14 goals and twice won the Cymru Alliance title with the Canaries.
In all, the Caernarfon-based full-back/wing-back made 201 appearances for his hometown club, scoring 83 goals.
He announced on Monday he was leaving Caernarfon to seek a new challenge.
Craig’s signing comes hot on the heels of Nash joining Niall McGuinness’ side for their 2020-21 Cymru Premier adventure.
Nash is a well-regarded central defender, who joins from Rhyl.
He came through the ranks at Connah’s Quay Nomads, and made his first team debut for them in December 2014 against The New Saints at Park Hall.
The young prospect has also represented Wales at U18 level and was part of the Gap Coleg Cambria side who won the U19 National Colleges Final in May 2015.
Nash eventually left Nomads in late 2016, joining Denbigh Town, before moving on to Rhyl for the start of the 2018/19 season.
At the end of that season, his performances for the Lilywhites saw him receive the Players’, Managers and Directors’ awards for Player of the Season.
Still only 21, Ben has a very promising future ahead of him.
