James Perkins has been appointed new manager of Llandudno FC Reserves.

Club chairman Andrew Croston revealed Perkins beat a number of experienced applicants to land the role.

“He has a UEFA B licence, is well-organised and is excited about joining the club,” said Croston, who took over the chairmanship this summer.

It is unclear as yet which league Llandudno Reserves will play in this season.

The make up of tiers 3, 4 and 5 is scheduled to be announced on July 10.

James said: “It’s clear to me that the club is heading in the right direction and it’s great to be a part of that, I can’t wait to get started.

“The upcoming FAW Reserve Division will be highly competitive. Building a squad of players to compete in that, as well as aiding them on their pathway to the first team, is a really exciting prospect.”

It has been a summer of big change at Maesdu Park.

As well as a new chairman taking over, Llandudno have appointed former playing star and assistant-boss Sean Eardley as first team manager.

Eardley, who was in charge at Caernarfon Town in their first two seasons back in the Welsh Premier, has made sweeping changes, bringing in a raft of new signings including Mike Pearson, Shaun Pearson, Leigh Craven, Gareth Evans, Morgan Owen, Aron Jones, Josh Allen, Max Moore, John Bennett and Dean Seager.

The manager’s backroom team includes Guy Handscombe (assistant-manager), Paul Whitfield (goalkeeping coach) and team therapist Jon PD Morris.

Captain and club stalwart Danny Hughes has penned a new two-year deal with the Seasiders.
