Cory Williams is back at The Oval!
For someone still to reach his 25th birthday, the Felinheli-based front man has spread his talents far and wide.
All the teams he has represented have been high quality and now he has an opportunity to shine in the Cymru Premier League.
Williams has become Huw Griffiths’ first signing as manager of Caernarfon Town.
He has previously played for the Cofis under Steve Smith, Lee Dixon and Iwan Williams before enjoying a successful spell with Conwy Borough.
The striker moved to Llandudno in January and was a big factor in their improved performances before the season was curtailed.
Returning to his hometown club has been something Cory has worked hard towards and he is delighted to finally be back.
He said: “It’s a brilliant feeling, I’ve wanted to return for a few years, so I’m actually pinching myself that it’s finally happened. I promise the Cofi Army that I will give 110% when I put the shirt on! Hopefully I’ll be able to score a few and create a few too. Really, I’m chuffed to bits.”
Manager Griffiths believes it is an excellent opportunity for Cory.

West Ham fan Cory spent his early senior career at Caernarfon Town before two seasons with Hereford United.
A former pupil at Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, Caernarfon, Cory returned to The Oval and played in the famous 2013-14 Welsh Cup tie against The New Saints, where Town led 2-0 through Nathan Craig and a Darren Thomas wonder goal before eventually losing 3-2.
He moved on to Chester FC, returned to Caernarfon, then joined Colwyn Bay before a stint at Rhyl.
In 2017-18, Cory was a member of Conwy Borough side which landed a Welsh Alliance treble of league title, FAW Trophy and Cookson Cup.
Now, after a spell with Llandudno, he returns to Caernarfon Town.
A player who has always operated at a high level, he could be the perfect fit for the Canaries.
