North Wales’ leading light in rugby union, RGC, have released a statement today in relation to the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
It reads: “Due to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19, RGC are following a number of steps in line with the Government advice.
“The Indigo Group Premiership has been suspended until the end of the month, and we will await further updates from the Welsh Rugby Union.
“Our Age Grade block for the U17s has now been cancelled after discussions with the coaching staff.
“Senior players will be given individual programmes to follow at home.
“Our U17s have all been given a rugby ball, so that Academy staff can offer remote support with physical and well-being in mind.
“RGC staff will also be working remotely for the time being as well, which again due to the advice around social distancing and home working.
“We are also liaising with players who need to fly home, making sure they are able to before the travel situation changes.
“As always we will communicate information as and when we have it.
“Thank you for all the support, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you back at Stadiwm Zip World.”
