Prestatyn Town 2 Porthmadog 2

On paper, this looked like a sure win for Prestatyn, but I wasn’t overly confident.
Porthmadog have given the Seasiders some tough tests in the past and I had a feeling they might do something at the Motion Finance Stadium on Saturday.
Town began the day top of the table by some distance, 11 wins out of 11 in the league at home, while Port languished in the bottom three.
But seven days after crumbling 7-1 at Gresford, Craig Papirnyk’s side knuckled down and claimed a deserved point, thanks to a double from returning striker Shaun Cavanagh.
Jordan Davies and Zebb Edwards struck to salvage a draw for the hosts.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 1 Buckley Town 2

Buckley were nine places behind Llanrhaeadr before kick-off and had lost 4-2 at home to the Powys side back in September.
However, Bucks’ recent away form has been good; a NEWFA Challenge Cup victory at holders Cefn Druids was followed by three points on Llandudno’s ground and a draw on a visit to Corwen.
And sure enough the Flintshire side maintained their fine progress on the road. taking the spoils 2-1 at Recreation Field.
Phill Molyneux and an Aled Bellis penalty secured the result which lifted Town out of the bottom four.

Mold Alexandra 2 Castell Alun Colts 2

After 19 straight defeats Castell Alun must have been wondering if they would ever get a point this season.
Well, the Premier Division’s bottom side finally got off the mark at the weekend with a highly commendable 2-2 draw at Mold.
Goals from Ben Howarth and Matty Lewis had Alex 2-0 up inside 24 minutes, but soon after Harry Brown pulled one back for Alun.
And in the 74th minute, poor defending from Mold gifted the visitors an equaliser.

Llangollen Town 1 Coedpoeth United 4

Coedpoeth again proved they can beat the best with a convincing success at fellow high-flyers Llangollen.
Karl Fenlon’s side are now up to second in Division One thanks to goals from Brian Turner, Ollie Lewis and Matty Thomas (2).

NFA 3 Llanelwy Athletic 2

Division One title hopefuls NFA made it back-to-back cup wins over Premier opposition.
The on-fire Jordan Taylor grabbed another hat-trick for the Rhyl-based winners, whose only defeat this season came in the NWCFA Junior Cup against Gwynedd League Caergybi.

It’s been a tough season for Holyhead Town.
Their first team began the campaign in Welsh Alliance Division Two, but were forced to resign. As a result, the club’s reserve team, playing in the Anglesey League, became the firsts.
Holyhead have just the one win to their credit in the island league, but they gave themselves a massive boost on Saturday by reaching the semi-finals of the Bwlch Car Boot Trophy at the expense of neighbours Valley.
Aidan Batsford, Rob Thomas and Charlie Diamond were the Harbourmen marksmen. Well done Holyhead!
