Rhuddlan Town maintained their unbeaten run and moved three points clear at the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division summit with a narrow 3-2 win over Llansannan at Rhydwen Drive, Rhyl.

Jay Whitehouse (2) and Matty Rees ensured Wayne Hughes’ side made it 10 league games undefeated, Rhys Hughes and Joe Maguire pushing the visitors close.

Bro Cernyw won 3-1 at Llanelwy Athletic, the visitors taking a three-goal lead into the break which they never looked like squandering.

In the 25th minute Owain Hughes scored from a corner after Llanelwy failed to clear their lines.

The hosts responded well, but on 37 minutes Cernyw centre-half Bryn Griffiths headed in from a flag-kick.

On 45 minutes, following play out wide, Owain Hughes received a diagonal ball and finished to make it three.

Llanelwy dominated play for the first 20 minutes of the second half, during which Steve Kirk found the net, but that was the end of the scoring.

Lloyd McElroy, Alec Stokes and Joel Jones scored for Llandudno Athletic in a 3-1 win against Rhos United, Ben Wheeler replying.

Llanfairfechan Town had to settle for a 2-2 home draw with Cerrigydrudion. Iwan Jones and Ryan Lewis struck for the hosts, Jac Edwards with both for Cerrig.
