Saltney Town produced probably their finest display of the season as they claimed a surprise 4-3 victory at in-form Mold Alexandra in the Welsh National League Premier Division.

Rabih Jumaa, Ste Chiocchi, Jake Johnson and Paul Johnson scored for the Bordermen, with Conner Kendrick, Lee Jones and new signing Louis Middlehurst replying for the hosts.

Brymbo moved to within a point of leaders Cefn Albion with a game in hand after thrashing visitors Rhos Aelwyd 4-1.

Jordan Deer, Zak Clark, Jamie Cumming and Ben Kearney were on target for the Steelmen.

Tom Douglas scored all four goals as third-place Rhostyllen triumphed 4-1 at Castell Alun Colts.

Ryan Goodband, Matt Worrall and Liam Hughes were on the mark in Llay Welfare’s 3-0 home beating of Penycae.

On Friday night, Cefn Albion were held 2-2 at home by Plas Madoc.

Callum Mannion and Alex Williams provided score-sheet entries for the table-toppers, Liam Sklenar and Nicky Williams securing the visitors a well-earned point.

Nathan Mendoza (2), Danny Wynne and Kyle Harte provided the bulk of the goals as Rhydymwyn took the honours 5-1 at Brickfield Rangers.

Queen’s Park are fourth and well in touch with the leaders after seeing off Chirk AAA 2-0.

After a goal-less first half, the deadlock was broken when a Barry Torrence chip came back off the bar and Rhys Hughes headed in the rebound.

Josh Phillips thundered home the second for the Park, but a very young Chirk side acquitted themselves really well.

Big wins in Division One for joint leaders Hawarden Rangers and Cefn Mawr Rangers.

Hawarden were resounding 14-0 victors at Johnstown YFC, while Cefn walloped Rhosllanerchrugog 12-2.

Lewis George (3), Ben Duffy (3), Ryan Harden (2), Sam Gostage (2), Aron Blackwell and Gerson Neto shared the Cefn Mawr dozen.

Halkyn and Flint Mountain were delighted with a 3-2 verdict at Lex XI.

Trailing 2-0 just past the hour, the promoted side turned the tables dramatically with goals from Lee Messham, Jimmy McGlone and Sean Williams.
