Welsh National League

Cefn Albion sit top of the Welsh National League Premier Division tonight following a 3-1 home victory over Rhos Aelwyd.

It was a sixth straight league win for the Albion, who have really found their feet after a shaky start to the campaign.

The visitors took an early lead through Scott Reeves, and the hosts were down to 10 men for the final 20 minutes, yet possessed the character and self-belief to take the three points.

Callum Mannion struck twice for the new leaders, with Nic Jones also on the mark.

Welsh Alliance League

Llandudno Albion missed a chance to return to the Division One summit when they were held 1-1 at Maesdu Park by Glan Conwy.

Dave Maddock handed the Albion a half-time lead, but Conor Davies was able to level after the break following great pressure from fellow forward Lee Ellis.

Anglesey League

Cemaes Bay lead the way at the table peak after a 9-2 drubbing of Llandegfan at School Lane.

Top-scorer Steven Whittaker and Keenan Downey both netted twice for the hosts, Todd Cusick, Dafydd Jones, Nick Owen, Tam Morton and Luke McKittrick one each.

Bala Town edged up to third in the standings with a resounding 5-0 victory at Aberystwyth Town.

Chris Venables and Louis Robles both struck twice for Colin Caton’s side after Henry Jones had broken the deadlock.

Caernarfon Town’s recent fine form received a jolt when they went down 3-1 at Newtown.

Sam Barnes, Ian Sheridan and Nick Rushton hit the mark for the Robins, Cai Jones replying for the Canaries.
