Netball news: Next week’s fixtures and looking back on the league’s history

Arfon Ladies won the latest Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball League title

With this week being half-term there are no matches being played in the Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball League.

Games are back to normal next week and the fixtures are below.

Tuesday, Nov 5 – Division Two


7 pm: Amigos v Sombreros
7.45 pm: Mellt Brynrefs v Tacos
8.30 pm: Wnion v Pwllheli Subway Warriors
9.15 pm: Llangefni v Walibees

Wednesday, Nov 6 – Division One

7 pm: Dreigiau Brynrefs v Pwllheli
7.45 pm: Tim y Walis v Arfon Ladies

LEAGUE HISTORY – THE STATS

We thought this might be a nice time to take a look back at the league’s history, which stretches back to 2007 under the former name of the Penygroes and District Netball League.

The competition became known as the Gwynedd and Anglesey League in 2016.

Arfon Ladies are the most successful team since the league began, winning 12 titles in all.
