Steven Whittaker was a four-goal hero as Cemaes Bay moved to within a point of Anglesey League leaders Mountain Rangers after dishing out an 8-1 thrashing to Arriva Bangor on Friday night.
Whittaker also went top of the Bob Brodie Trophy goals chart, the annual competition which rewards the leading scorer in Anglesey senior football and is named in honour of the popular former player and manager who lived on the island.
Winner of the Bob Brodie previously in 2014/15 while a Cemaes Bay player, Whittaker’s four-goal haul tonight edged him up to 17 for the current campaign.
Also on target for Cemaes were Sam Carter, Dafydd Jones, Keenan Downey and Daniel Jones.
