Cymru North – September 27, 2019

After a goal-less first half at the Motion Finance Stadium, Prestatyn turned on the power in the second period and thrashed a Bangor side which finished with eight men out of sight.

It was surely the most clinical performance yet from a Seasiders outfit which equalled their biggest win of the campaign, having triumphed 7-0 at Conwy Borough on September 11.

The first half saw Jordan Davies clean through early on for Town, but his control let him down.

Robbie Hughes’ free kick was well saved by Gabriele Brino before the same player rattled the crossbar for the hosts.

Town began the second half strongly and grabbed the lead in the 53rd minute through a fine finish from Alex Jones.

Hughes made it two with a wonderful free kick before Jordan Davies added the third soon after.

City went down to 10 men when Pavel Vieira was shown a second yellow card on 65 minutes.

Defender Kai Edwards made it 4-0 in the 67th minute before City’s Lucas Surber was sent off for using abusive language towards referee Michael Gray.

The visitors went down to eight when David Thompson was shown a second yellow card for a foul in the box. Hughes made it 5-0 from the penalty spot.

Ian Griffiths came on as a substitute for the hosts and made the most of his opportunity, jumping highest to head home before capitalising on a Zebb Edwards assist to make it 7-0.
