Cefn Albion 1 Lex 2
FAW Trophy round two

Stunning achievement from Lex as they knock out the FAW Trophy holders on their own patch.

The Welsh National League Division One underdogs eliminated their WNL Premier hosts thanks to goals from Zack Davies and Alun Parry on a memorable night for the Lawmen.

Bontnewydd 1 Trearddur Bay Bulls 0
Gwynedd League

Not many could have predicted this result with the Gwynedd League leaders having their seven-match unbeaten run and 100% record unceremoniously squashed by Bontnewydd.

Morgan Roberts grabbed the only goal for the hosts, who prevented their previously free-scoring visitors from finding the net.

Nefyn United 3 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 2
FAW Trophy round two

Tremendous result for Gwynedd League Nefyn against a team mid-table in Welsh Alliance Division Two.

In a cracking contest, Carl Jones, Dylan Sion Jones and Llyr Pennant were the goal-getters for the Penwaig, who reached the semi-finals of this competition in 2008-09.

Llanrhaeadr 1 Conwy Borough 2
Cymru North

After suffering a demoralising 7-0 home defeat against Prestatyn Town in midweek, Conwy faced a really stiff test at third-place Llanrhaeadr, the Cymru North’s surprise package of the campaign so far.

However, the Tangerines showed what they are made of with an excellent 2-1 triumph, Iolo Hughes and Cory Williams on target.

Amlwch Town 5 Llandudno Athletic 6
FAW Trophy round two

Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division outsiders Athletic caused quite an upset in this 11-goal thriller at Welsh Alliance Division Two hosts Amlwch.

Tier 5 eliminated tier 4 at Lon Bach, Ryan Jones (2), Matty McElroy (2), Lee Stokes and Paul Issacs sharing the goals for Rhys Lane’s underdogs, Ryan Rowlands (2), Chris Byast, Dan Jones and Josh Griffiths for the home side.

Mynydd Llandegai 2 Menai Bridge Tigers 3
FAW Trophy round two

Terrific win for the Tigers against a team two levels above them.

The Gwynedd League visitors took the spoils at the expense of their hosts from Welsh Alliance Division One.

Callum Davidson (2) and Dave Baston struck for the islanders, Wyn Morris and Tom Collins responding.
