North East Wales League: Injury time equaliser protects Chirk Town’s unbeaten record

Chirk Town remain unbeaten

Chirk Town produced a very late equaliser to maintain their unbeaten record in the Top Mark Uniforms North East Wales League with a 2-2 draw at Penyffordd Lions.

Goals from Rob Salisbury and Mark Gallagher looked to have put Penyffordd in command, but Naz Farhat replied on 88 minutes and then added his second deep into injury time to ensure the points were shared.

Leaders Brymbo Victoria thrashed Bradley Park 6-1, George Phoenix (2), Paul Messham, Gary Evans, Adam Lloyd and Declan Colbert sharing the home tally, Kirk Ratcliffe replying. Vics hold a three-point lead at the summit over Chirk, who have a game in hand.

Ryan Williams and Scott Earnshaw (2) guided Sychdyn to a 3-1 success at Borras Park Albion, who had brought themselves level on the hour through Jack Hanley.

Acton and Mold Town United played out a 3-3 thriller.

Luke Harrington, Steve Powell and Ryan Jones were on target for the hosts, Ryan Tierney, Nathan Williams and Shane Wellings for United.

Caerwys v Bellevue was postponed.
