Squad captain. Island Games regular coming off back of brilliant debut season for Porthmadog. Experienced goalkeeper with past clubs including Connah’s Quay Nomads, Rhyl, Caernarfon Town, Holyhead Hotspur and Warrington Town.
Jordan Taylor (Bodedern Athletic)
Right-winger who was a key performer in a very good comeback season for Bodedern in Welsh Alliance League Division One.
Gari Owen (Llangefni Town)
Attacking young full-back who shone regularly for Cefni’s double-winning squad in the 2018/19 campaign
Ryan Taylor (Bodedern Athletic)
Left-back or left-wing who pocketed several vital goals for Bodedern in their bid for trophies this season.
Guto Hughes (Conwy Borough)
Former Bangor City and Prestatyn Town defender in the Welsh Premier whose other ex-clubs included Llanfairpwll and Glantraeth before he switched to Borough.
Tom Taylor (Bromsgrove Sporting)
Taylor captained Ynys Môn in the 2017 Gotland Island Games. A one-time prolific goal-scorer with Pentraeth, Taylor developed into a fine centre-half with Glantraeth, Caernarfon Town, Holyhead Hotspur and Porthmadog before joining the English pyramid.
Tomos Clarke (Conwy Borough)
Dominant defender who was joint top-scorer for Holyhead Hotspur this season. Previous clubs include Oldham Athletic, Colwyn Bay, Porthmadog and Glantraeth, with whom he won the Welsh Alliance League Division One title before joining Hotspur. Recently signed for Conwy Borough.
Cai Powell-Roberts (Llangefni Town)
Great passer of the ball who can operate in defence or midfield. Is a Welsh Colleges international.
Alex Jones (Holyhead Hotspur)
Tall centre-half who has been a regular fixture in Hotspur’s defence for the past eight seasons. A familiar face in the Island Games squads.
Dan Thomas (Llangefni Town)
Big defender always capable of scoring goals. Top performer in a successful Llangefni side.
Jay Gibbs (Porthmadog)
Has spent most of his career in the Huws Gray Alliance, standing out as one of the league’s best attacking midfielders. Rejoined Porthmadog after a spell at Llandudno in the Welsh Premier. A former Tranmere Rovers scholar and youth team regular who returned to his hometown club Holyhead Hotspur in 2010, he has also played for Glantraeth and Caernarfon Town. Represented Wales at U17 and U19 levels.
Dean Garmey (Holyhead Hotspur)
Versatile player who can operate at the back or in midfield. Holyhead Hotspur regular for a number of seasons, strong in the tackle, determined competitor.
Dafydd Jones (Bodedern Athletic)
Jones is a compact central-midfield player who was a vital component in Bodedern’s well-oiled machine this term.
Gerwyn Roberts (Mynydd Llandegai)
A holding midfielder who has also played at both centre-back and right-back for Welsh Alliance Division One side Mynydd over the last two seasons.
Alex Boss (Aberystwyth Town)
Lightning-quick young talent who established himself in Bangor City’s first team after the club’s drop into the Huws Gray Alliance this season. Ex-Holyhead Hotspur star who has represented Welsh Colleges. Has just joined Welsh Premier club Aberystwyth.
Liam Morris (Llangefni Town)
Llangefni’s top scorer this season with 22 goals. Quick, direct and with an eye for goal.
Sam Jones (Bangor City)
Hugely promising 19-year-old striker who was promoted to Bangor’s first team squad during the 2017-18 season after scoring prolifically for the U19 side. Bangor-born, he joined the City academy set up from local club Menai Bridge Tigers.
Melvin McGinness (Holyhead Hotspur)
The fact he was named Huws Gray Alliance Player of the Season despite his team being relegated says everything about the 29-year-old McGinness. Has also played for Bangor City, Llangefni Town and Gaerwen, but is best known for his excellent goals record at Holyhead Hotspur.
John Littlemore (Porthmadog)
Dynamic front man who was part of Cardiff Met’s impressive debut season in the Welsh Premier in 2016-17. Formerly with Bangor City, where he experienced first team action, as well as Glantraeth and Bro Goronwy, he joined Holyhead Hotspur in 2017-18. Recently signed for Porthmadog of the Huws Gray Alliance.
Matthew Jones (Llangefni Town)
Attacker and consistent net-finder who hit the 20-goal milestone in Llangefni’s impressive 2018/19 season. Formerly a major goal supplier for Llannerchymedd.
