She’s back! One of the finest young strikers in North Wales women’s football has returned to the champions.

After a brief spell with CPDM Bangor last season, Milly Lowe has rejoined Llangefni Town.

The 18-year-old first signed for Cefni in late 2024-25, making five appearances and netting twice in a 3-3 draw at Kinmel Bay.

She began last season at Llangefni and scored five goals in nine outings before switching to Bangor at the end of the year.

Milly featured in just five games for the Citizens, scoring once.

A tall, robust forward with great feet and pace, the teenager was totally outstanding in her last Cefni appearance, scoring twice in a dominant 3-0 win at chief title challengers Kinmel Bay.

On that form she looked unstoppable, yet soon after Milly moved to Bangor, where her debut was delayed by injury.

Despite the option of remaining in the Tier 2 Adran North this season, the youngster has decided to join the reigning Tier 3 North Wales Coast League champions.

The capture of such a talent is a great boost for Llangefni manager Dan Gregg, who needed a like-for-like replacement for Ellie Coulson, the long-serving striker who has retired after making a record 108 appearances for the Ynys Môn club, scoring 61 goals.

Coulson’s great ability as a target-woman up front, with her flick-ons, ball retention and goals, will be tough to replicate, but in Lowe the islanders have the right sort of player on board.
