GENERO ADRAN TROPHY ROUND OF 16 – NOVEMBER 8, 2026

Flint Town United 0
Connah’s Quay Nomads 5 (Slack 2, Hughes 5, 63, 90+1, Redfern 51)

Nomads are through to the last eight of the Adran Trophy for the second time in their history.
Andy Griffiths’ side will fly the flag for Adran North in the quarter-finals after romping to an emphatic win in Sunday’s Flintshire derby.
The Deesiders produced an outstanding five-star performance overall, but took a huge grip on the tie within the first five minutes.
Nomads made an explosive start at The Essity Stadium.
Just two minutes into the game, captain Hannah Slack opened the scoring. She latched onto an excellent through ball from Phoebe Ellis before keeping her composure to slot the ball into the bottom corner and give the visitors an early advantage.
The Nomads continued to apply pressure and doubled their lead just three minutes later.
In the fifth minute, Rosie Hughes met a low delivery from Slack and produced a clinical first-time finish into the top corner.
With two early goals, Connah’s Quay had put themselves in a commanding position and continued to threaten going forward.
Ellis also found the net towards the end of the first half, but her effort was ruled out for offside.
Despite that disappointment, the Nomads went into the interval with a deserved two-goal advantage.
Connah’s Quay continued exactly where they had left off after the break.
In the 51st minute, Aimee Redfern made it 3–0 with an excellent header. Meeting a pinpoint cross from Ellis, Redfern powered the ball into the roof of the net to extend the visitors’ advantage.
The Nomads were now firmly in control, and Hughes added her second goal in the 63rd minute.
Receiving a delivery towards the back post, Hughes showed excellent awareness and technique to cleverly loop the ball over the goalkeeper.
The forward wasn’t finished there.
Deep into stoppage time, in the 90+1st minute, Hughes completed her hat-trick. Receiving a pass from Slack, she turned inside the penalty area before calmly finishing from close range.
Nomads showed no adverse reaction to recent departures. There was a first start for ex-Wrexham defender Erin Lovett and a first team debut for India-Bo Evans, while Sienna Perry and Natasha Standing returned to the starting line-up.
